This industrial-style grey display cabinet featuring a glass-door top section and multiple storage drawers in the lower section is made from a mixture of reclaimed and old pine.

This is superb and has an aged patina paint effect. The whole unit is made around and old arch top glazed set of doors in a frame.

These are superb storage and and have a superb look in any home.

12 good size drawers with original cup handles, arch doors, original glass, shaped cornice and sitting very handsomely on turned feet this is definitely a talking piece in any home.

Its big and in one piece so good access would be required for delivery.

Bring warmth and character to your home with this beautiful Victorian pine chest of drawers. Crafted from solid pine, it showcases the natural grain and knots that give antique pieces their unmistakable charm.

The chest features three smaller top drawers over three generously sized drawers below, offering ample storage for clothing, linens, or household essentials.

Original turned wooden knobs and keyholes add authentic period detail, while the softly scalloped base, reeded front corners and clean lines reflect classic Victorian craftsmanship.

The warm honey-toned finish enhances the wood’s natural patina. The unit was in horrible dark satin before we started the restoration. Please see the last picture.

Chests like this are perfect for bedrooms, hallways, or living spaces, this chest blends effortlessly with traditional, rustic, or eclectic interiors. A sturdy, well-made antique that’s as practical today as when it was first crafted. This is good antique condition with age-related marks consistent with genuine Victorian furniture.

Freshly restored is this stunning Victorian pine chest of drawers with 2 over 2 drawer layout and it still retains its original handles and upstand across the back.

This was in a heavy messy dark stain with paint underneath. It's been stripped and all woodwork completed. Then sanded and hand waxed in briwax medium brown p7.

A good quality Victorian chest that's over 120 years old and this is shown in the beautiful hand cut dovetails, construction and weight of the chest.

Nice drawer detailing.

We love what we do

The restoration on every item is huge.

This box was bought in gloss paint and the restoration goes as follows....

1, We strip the box in an acid bath called caustic soda that removes all the paint.

The acid bath is hot so it gives a nice colour once stripped. A cold bath is no good and makes the pine go very grey.

The temperature is very important depending on the items paint, varnish or stain... Two hot and it cooks it and drawers would fall apart and twist the pine... Too cold and it won't remove the paint and go grey .. medium temperature is just perfect.

2, The item is then pressure washed to remove the acid and excess caustic.

3, Then all items are naturally air dried on breezy warm sunny days. This can't be rushed as if it is or dried using false heat from heaters the item will not shine once waxed and caustic white residue appears through the wax once it arrives in a centrally heated home.

4, All wood work is completed, reattach any beadings, plinths, piece a missing section from old pine or remake a bit of a drawer runner. This box needed no woodwork.

5, The item is then sanded in 120 or 150 grit sandpaper till nice and smooth.

The unit won't sand if it is not completely dry or the wood will not go smooth.

We don't over sand as this will remove the nice Victorian colour from the stripping.

6, Everything is then covered with lots white vinegar that naturalizes any remainder or caustic soda acid.

7, Air dried again after the white vinegar.

8, A light hand sand / pad off.

9, Then the items are ready for waxing.

This is done by hand using Briwax medium brown p7. Depending on the shade more coast can be added if required.

Not every item is a 5 minute job and can take a while to get the best restored Victorian pine items to sell.

We have over 70 boxes stripped and air drying and new ones getting finished each week. With chest of drawers, benches, linen presses and more always in a rotation of restoration we might just have the item you've always been looking for.

This Antique pine apothecary unit has a beautiful handsome stance with its 72 drawers and sitting on a reclaimed pine 4 door cupboard.

The unit is definitely a stand alone piece and a talking point in any home.

With a very striking deep Brinjal colour this still retains its original cup handles and has a perfect look with its aged patina.

handmade 7 drawer chest painted pine top

A 7 drawer jumper chest painted in Preference Red, aged brass knobs and scaffolding board waxed top.

These handmade units can be made to all sizes and this one was made shallower than standard as it was on a landing and the customer didn't want to restrict the passageway.

This one also had an old pine top added which was made from scaffold boards. As standard it comes with a new pine top but old, new oak or even painted tops can be added at an extra cost.

Beautiful 18th century 6 drawer oak shop counter

Panelled on all sides and featuring a coin slot and retaining its original, rich and dark patina.

This is absolutely stunning as a kitchen island a shop counter or place it against the wall as a deep chest of drawers.

The coins slot is so cute and it looks like it's had something attached along time ago. Possibly a coffee grinder or shop keepers machine.

The patina is unrepeatable and it's just a stunning 18th century item of beautiful construction.

This amazing 6 drawer bank of chemist drawers is stunning.

One of the drawers has an original sticker of J.W Stainer from Folkestone as a pharmacy chemist.

The hand painting is beautifully done and it's definitely a talking point in any home.

The top has some slight ware but this just adds character to the overall item.

This is not the original painting but has been done extremely well and has been done a very long time.

We love what we do

This stunning solid pine scotch chest arrived with us this week after its trip down from Inverness.

This handsome big chest is still in its original scumble paint finish of faux feathered mahogany.

This had one piece of side skirting plinth missing. We have made and neatly painted a matching replacement piece which blends in beautifully.

With every restoration slightly different on every item we definitely love our job.

This chest is in very good order and the Paint is superb so it's not getting stripped and is now looking for its next forever home.

Superb storage and it still retains its original feet and handles.

A 'RARE' item as good as this for size, condition and stance.

The patina is unrepeatable.

Tall chest with the drawer layout picked by the customer.

With a 2/2/4 layout it's excellent storage.

This one is finished in Wimborne White with waxed beech handles.

The unit is made from knotless pine called radiata and done in a shaker finish.

Can be made to any size and design.
