A handsome and characterful antique oak coffer / chest, dating to approximately 1880–1910, spanning the late Victorian to early Edwardian period.
Featuring a rich, dark oak finish with beautifully aged timber, this substantial piece has plenty of traditional charm. The front is decorated with three attractive raised fielded panels, complemented by two generous drawers with brass drop handles and escutcheons.
The hinged top opens to reveal a spacious storage compartment, making this a particularly practical and versatile piece. Raised on shaped bracket feet with a moulded base, it has a lovely rustic presence and would make an excellent coffee table, blanket box or statement storage piece in a traditional or country-style interior.
