The beautifully time-worn paintwork has naturally worn back over the years to reveal the warm pine beneath, creating a wonderfully authentic, layered appearance.
The chest has four generous drawers, each fitted with its original-style aged brass drop handles, with attractive fluted and moulded decoration to the front corners and substantial square feet.
The broad pine top has developed a lovely naturally distressed surface, adding to the charm and individuality of this piece. A superb example of the rustic, practical furniture traditionally found throughout Eastern Europe.
