RARE VICTORIAN PAIR OF PINE SCUMBLE PAINTED CHESTS

An extremely rare matching pair of Victorian pine chests of drawers in their original scumble glaze paint.
These chests have quality craftsmanship and superb original paint which is a credit to the makers and painters from approx 150 years ago.
Both sitting on original turned feet and one with a full upstand with side returns and one with just the back. This is original to how they were made.
The original glass set of handles are all still complete and all the drawers run smoothly with no woodwork needed for restoration.
These have not had a hard life and by the looks of the paint not really ever used.
A few old historic wood worm holes on a drawer front but this has been treated and not visible unless you really look.
It’s also amazing these are still together and not split up through their previous life.
They have some aged related patina, scuffs and scrapes but it is very hard to find a better pair of matching 150 year old + chests.
