French worn beautiful butchers block with single drawer

We have this gorgeous original French butchers block available sitting on a hardwood stand with single drawer.

This handsome statement piece has amazing patina and is definitely a one off with its beautifully worn shape and score marks.
Its had a slight wax finish, so we’ve tightened the block, added a few fillets and rewaxed it.
The hardwood base has curved column detailing and in the past someone has made a good job or extending the leg height in the same wood.
Old evidence of wood worm in the legs and this has been treated, but just adds characterful patina to this fabulous looking kitchen item.
Ideal as a lamp table or could be used and the wax will eventually wear off the block.
