A stunning antique Victorian Ash triple gentlemans compactium wardrobe in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination that’s oozing all the charm and character of its period circa 1880s.
It has a castellated and moulded cornice top above a full length central mirrored door, flanked on either side by a t&g angled panelled doors.
To the top are four incised roundels, with dark ebonised detailing and crossbanding hardwood in the cornice.
Internally there are four sliding ash trays (these could be removed and a hanging rail fitted if desired) sitting above two short drawers, two long drawers all of which are ash with original brass handles. To the other side there is full length hanging space with a lift up lid section to the base.(we will be making a front to this section that slides into place.) This section still rertains its silk lining.
The whole wardrobe is standing on a deep plinth base with shaped bracket feet and again dark black ebonised detail.
Separates for ease of transporting.
Please note, this has some age related marks that add to the patina and character of this unbelievably rare item.
